| The Topy manufacturing plant in
Elk Grove Village, Illinois, is now producing a wide range of spring
steel fasteners, clamps, clips and other components. This 40,000
square foot facility features state-of-art equipment that assures
cost-effective production of spring steel, stainless steel parts.
A fully equipped quality control laboratory is located at the center
of Topy’s manufacturing operations to facilitate careful monitoring
of the product at each stage of the manufacturing process. Everything
literally revolves around this laboratory. Every step has been taken
to insure that Topy’s world-wide reputation as a manufacturer
of top quality spring steel fasteners and components will be fully
sustained in its U.S. facilities.
A battery of automated, high speed presses, utilizing progressive
dies, from complex stamped components on a precisely controlled,
cost-effective basis. Efficient, precision forming and tapping operations,
plus degreasing and other secondary capabilities, make this a self-contained,
internally controlled manufacturing operation.
The “crown jewel”: in the new Topy facility is the
unique austempering furnace. This high volume heat treating equipment
can be precisely programmed releative to temperature, heat and draw
cycles to achieve desired spring characteristics in processed parts.
All Topy spring steel fasteners are 100% austempered to prevent
distortion in the fasteners while developing maximum spring tension.
Topy’s Illinois manufacturing facility is built to accommodate
expansion and serve Topy’s growing U.S. market for many years
to come. This investment in plant and equipment represents a major
commitment to that market. |
